I’ve always been drawn to stories.

Even as a kid, I wasn’t very interested in watching the cartoons everyone else was watching. I was much more interested in the dramas. Growing up, I fell in love with Turkish TV shows and spent hours getting lost in their stories. For the longest time, I thought I’d either end up in front of the camera as an actor or behind it as a director. Eventually, I realized I was much happier behind the camera, and honestly, I think I found exactly where I was supposed to be.

That love for storytelling eventually led me to study Media Production at the University of Houston, where I focused on Digital Cinematography and Filmmaking, along with Marketing. Filmmaking taught me to pay attention to the things that can easily be missed, the way light falls on someone's face, the movement happening within a scene, the little details that make a story feel like it belongs to someone.

Photography came into my life after graduation as another way to keep telling those stories.

And somewhere along the way, I realized why photographs mean so much to me personally.

I love looking through old photographs of my family back home. Sometimes it's just an ordinary picture, nothing particularly special about the day it was taken, but years later, that photograph can bring back a person, a place, a feeling, or a version of life that you can't quite get back. Those photographs become little pieces of time that we get to keep.

That's what I want to create for you.

Not just a pretty picture, but something that takes you back.
